India won the two-match ODI series against Sri Lanka with a score of 5 wickets in the second match of the tour. On Thursday, India and Sri Lanka played in the second of their one-day internationals at Eden Garden. It was Sri Lanka’s decision to bat first after winning the toss, but the Indian spinners, led by Mohammad Siraj, kept them to 215 runs in 39.4 overs. Chahal was replaced by Kuldeep Yadav, and he promptly got three wickets. India triumphed in the opening one-day international by a score of 67 runs.
Rohit Sharma’s win was his 14th in 20 ODIs as captain. The third and final one-day international will take place at 1.30 p.m. local time on January 15 at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
